Middleton Rural Fire District & Star Fire Protection District

FIRE CODE NOTICE: 

Effective January 1, 2021, the Middleton Rural Fire District & Star Fire Protection District will be adopting the 2018 International Fire Code.

Single Family Residential Building

Thank you for choosing to build within the Middleton/Star Fire District.  We look forward to working with you during the construction process. 

Please note that all residential structures will require water supply within our fire district based on the 2018 Internal Fire Code.

Commercial/Multi-Family

Commercial and multi-family buildings being constructed within the Middleton/ Star Rural Fire District require review and permits issued by the Fire Code Offical  

 

Please note all fees will apply.

Outdoor Burning

Open burning of the following is permitted only under the provisions set below and after notifying the Middleton/Star Fire Fire Districts: 

  1. Fires used to keep irrigation ditches and fencerows clear of plant and weed growth.  
  2. Fires used to dispose of or reduce dry vegetative waste materials, such as but not limited to, tree branches, gardening waste, weeds, or other dry vegetation, where mulching or other types of disposal are impractical.  
  3. Fires shall be ignited and attended between the hours of one-half (1/2) hour before sunrise and extinguished no later than one-half (1/2) hour after sunset.
  4. Daily Air Quality Index allows for outdoor burning

Temporary Fireworks Stands

NOTICE: 4th of July Applications are due by the 3rd Monday in June for approval.


The application provided above is for Temporary Stands and Storage of Nonaerial Common Fireworks as per  Idaho Code Title 39 Chapter 26 and Middleton/Star City Codes. Temporary Stand is within the Middleton/Star City limits additional permitting is required by the City.

The Middleton/Star Fire Districts require all commercial buildings have a Knox Box Rapid Entry System.  We have been working with local businesses to bring all buildings up to code.
